How long to "finish" Palace of the Dead? (2024)

Under 2 hours maybe.

This is not a realistic expectation...

Based on the OP, I'm assuming they haven't done any PotD or HoH yet, meaning they have ZERO upgrades to their weapon and armor.

IF you have friends that will carry you through PotD, then MAYBE less than two hours to finish the first 50 floors, which iirc is all you need to "clear" PotD and unlock HoH.

You MIGHT have some success even matching each floor set with randoms... but that will be a gamble as the ppl that FARM PotD for exp spam either just 1-10 or 51-60 depending on their level. So 1-10 should be a breeze, but 41-50 you might get other ppl like yourself who are still attempting to clear for the first time as well. If this happens and you get randoms that are inexperienced/"undergear'd" then you actually risk failure on floor sets and add time to your clear attempt.

I think a more realistic expectation assuming: ZERO upgrades, no carry, using matched party system with randoms, would be between 4 to 7 hours.

And again, iirc you only need to beat floor 50 to "clear" PotD for HoH content. The PotD story actually concludes at floor 100. 101 - 200 is completely optional. If you're required to go to floor 100 then I would probably double my estimates.

To clear all 200 floors on your own, you'll want both your arms and armor to be at their maximum level, 99. This means, unfortunately, you'll have to do a bit of grinding as the higher level your Aetherpool gear is, the less likely it is to gain a level from chests found at the beginning of the palace.

Can you level solo in Potd? ›

You can but it's very tedious like that and you don't need friends to do it. Use the matched party option, it's the duty finder of potd. It'll match you with 3 other people in a few minutes and you're ready to go, works just like the duty finder.

PotD is a pretty good way to hit 50. As are the DR's available to you. Depending on your role, running the highest level exp dungeon a number of times may be faster than PotD. Just be sure that with PotD, you are not just doing 51-60 over and over.
