How many times do you fight the Ultimate Weapon in FF7? ›

He doesn't have a set number of fights, instead he has a HP that carries through each battle. Starts at 100,000 health, at 20,000 or lower he will fly to the Cosmo Area for the final battle. If you lower him to 0 in a standard battle, it will just be set back to 20,000.

During aerial battles Ultimate Weapon can only be attacked via long range attacks, so the player can equip the Long Range Materia to anyone not wielding a ranged weapon. If they do not have a long ranged weapon, or a Long Range Materia, they can use magic, summons and Limit Breaks.
